We are looking for a Senior Manager for our Workshop Operations

In our newly established Pulp, Energy & Circularity (PEC) Services business unit we are now looking for a senior manager to lead & develop our workshop operations. Our customers are e.g. in chemical pulping, mechanical pulping, stock preparation for board, tissue and paper making, fiber board production and biofuel production. The global workshop network is providing e.g. equipment reconditioning, upgrades and new replacement equipment.

This role will be closely collaborating with our Area sales and delivery execution organization. We expect the role to actively develop the end-to-end workshop process to achieve efficient and lean execution of customer services. You will be line manager for the solid line workshop managers and production technical experts and in matrix you will lead the workshop managers of multiproduct workshops.

Main responsibilities

  • Efficient delivery of workshop services to our customers.
  • Lead and develop the workshop operations globally, including securing compliance to HSE and Quality requirements.
  • Manage workload and forecasting for global operations,
  • Lead technical production support for workshops, drive operational development initiatives.
  • Act as process owner for the fiber workshop operations (end-to-end).
  • Develop the global workshop footprint in line with strategic objectives.
  • Manage the investment process for the fiber workshops.
  • Active collaboration and providing feedback & improvement ideas to technology and service concept development teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering
  • 10 + years of technical and leadership experience from similar positions
  • Strong understanding of fiber processing equipment and customer maintenance needs
  • Technology knowledge of e.g. chipping, cooking, conveying & dewatering, HC refiners, mechanical pulping and fiberboard is seen as a big advantage
  • Production technology, e.g. welding expertise is considered an advantage
  • Maintenance and investment process knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel internationally

To succeed in this position, you will need to understand the customer business and needs, motivate and develop the team, collaborate and build networks, understand financial figures, break down strategy into actions and have the ability to oversee the big-picture.
