ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will join a diverse team of 4-6 multi-skilled software engineers across UK and LT. We embrace a T-shaped mentality - everyone specializes in one thing (depth) but can work with anything if needed (breadth). We focus on backend services that process and expose flight data with 100Ms of messages daily. Our new projects are hosted on Azure, but there are still some legacy on-premise as well. We have a fully automated CI/CD pipeline that builds and deploys code, runs tests. We store data in Snowflake, CosmosDb, as well as Blob Storage. Services are implemented either as Azure Functions or Azure App Services. Our infrastructure is managed using Terraform. Monitoring is setup using DataDog, static code analysis is done using SonarCloud.

YOU WILL BE:
- Defining a testing strategy.
- Creating, maintaining and executing tests both automated and manual.
- Proactively identifying systemic quality risks and driving preventative actions.
- Doing code reviews and ensuring code design is testable, sufficient coverage is there.
- Applying agile and lean principles in day-to-day activities.
- A mindset of continuous learning.
- A team player’s mentality with a sense of ownership.
- Expertise in testing practices.
- Experience writing integration and e2e tests (in any one language).
- Experience of Agile.
- Experience of applying best coding practices (SOLID, clean code...)
- Experience working with monitoring systems (i.e.: Datadog, Grafana...)
- Knowledge of Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Knowledge of databases SQL/NoSQL.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience creating a test foundation, on which other tests (product scope) will be built.
- Experience testing real-time data streams (i.e., Kafka, Event Hubs).
- Hands-on programming experience, preferably C#. Java knowledge is a bonus.
- Experience with cloud technologies: Azure (preferred) or AWS.
- Experience in testing distributed systems at scale.
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines.
