We’re looking for a Student/Junior Embedded Software Engineer which is already familiar with the development of embedded electronics and would like to join our RD&E department.
District energy systems produce hot water, steam, or chilled water at a central plant or satellite plants and then distribute the energy through a network of underground pipes to connected buildings in cities and villages. In your role, you’ll be part of a cross-functional international team mostly using Slovene and English language, working on motorized actuators for controlling valves to enable increased energy efficiency in district energy networks. You’ll be developing, testing and validating embedded software for combining electronics, embedded SW and mechanics into final products.
To get onboarded, this is primarily an on site role in Ljubljana, Ulica Jožeta Jame 16, however, after becoming independent you can exploit a hybrid work alternative.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a junior/student embedded software engineer in our team, you will:
- learn, work and test the electronic circuits by preparing software for microcontrollers to develop, support and enable various platform features combined to heterogeneous end products.
A demanded technical expertise is
- being familiar with electronic circuits and embedded programming using C programming language and versioning systems such as Git.
- Knowing motor control principles (Synchronous, Stepper, BLDC), Python, CMake, Powershell, YAML, Altium 365, and STMicroelectronics microcontrollers as well tools from their portfolio is a bonus.
