EAX In-game Experiences team is responsible for EA Connect, our social overlay facilitating cross-platform party, voip, quick messaging and game invites, used in most EA Sports titles. We are also responsible for the new Spotify integration recently released in FC 25.
We are looking for someone to help us build experiences like this, both on mobile devices and consoles/PCs, using JavaScript and React..
You will be based in the Stockholm office in a hybrid work environment. You will report to an engineering lead in the team.
Responsibilities:
- You will primarily be working with feature development in JavaScript, using TypeScript and React Native.
- You will also be working in React using an embedded JavaScript engine that connects to a C++ SDK in the game engine.
- You will help develop products used in multiple EA games
- You will partner with game teams and ensure the code works on several platforms, always with an eye on performance.
- You will be part of the broader engineering group, and an important contributor to the EAX team based in Sweden.
- You will design systems and APIs and contribute to technical design and reviews
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of JavaScript programming experience
- Experience with frontend development
- Experience using TypeScript
- Experience using React Native
