The Microsoft 365 applications are at the heart of the Microsoft mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. With hundreds of millions of users, no other product suite has the same reach and impact on personal and organizational productivity. The importance to the Microsoft business is critical, since M365 is a key driver of consistent revenue and income growth.

Our Dublin-based Release and Delivery Experience (RDX) team's mission is to empower decision-makers with actionable insights, effective controls, and predictable releases that enable them to drive end-user productivity effectively and efficiently. A key element is reliably delivering high-quality M365 software to all our customers. We ship all of Office’s products across all platforms -- Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android -- via one unified, frictionless pipeline that enables fast feedback loops, exposure control, efficient use of our audiences, and a hypothesis-driven engineering model. (This includes the M365 Copilot client components!) In the spirit of One Microsoft, our vision is to make this system extensible such that it can be leveraged across the entire company.

We are a fast-paced, highly collaborative team dedicated to improving customer satisfaction. We work on interesting challenges, grow, learn, and have fun doing it. We are looking for Software Engineers who are passionate about engineering scalable services to join us in this impactful and challenging mission. We operate in a Combined Engineering model and our engineers are responsible for design, coding, validation, and operation of the service.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Work with peers to design, implement and improve our platform and its services.
  • Engineer the experiences that enable all of Office to make release-related decisions, understand the quality of our builds and ship our software to millions of customers.

  • Focus on architectural improvements that will create clearer components to simplify the service codebase and improve engineering velocity and efficiency.
  • Help reimagine our customer onboarding story, transforming our manual process into one that is automatic and self-service.

The ideal candidate will be a software engineer who wants to ship high-quality software in an agile delivery environment while maintaining high code quality. You will be working across the engineering lifecycle from inception through successful release to customers.
