Founding Full-Stack Engineer

We’ve partnered with the same stealth-mode FinTech startup on a mission to make investing simple, transparent, and accessible across Africa.

Fresh from securing significant funding, they’re entering hyper-growth mode and building their entire tech team from the ground up - starting with their very first engineering hire.

This is a true Founding Engineer role, where you’ll be hands-on building across frontend, backend, and mobile while also shaping the engineering culture and growing a small team (expect to manage 4–5 engineers in the next few months). You’ll work closely with the Founding Product Manager and Founding Product Designer to turn ideas into reality and ship meaningful features for users across the continent.

💪 What you’ll bring:

1️⃣ 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally across Node.js (Backend), React (Frontend), and React Native (Mobile).

2️⃣ Experience in 0-1 product development // building scalable products from scratch.

3️⃣ Leadership mindset - comfortable mentoring and leading a small team as the company scales.

4️⃣ FinTech / InvestTech background (a MUST) or experience with high-growth, consumer-facing “sexy” businesses.

5️⃣ Based in the UAE (preferred) with flexibility to travel to Kenya every few months. Exceptional profiles in Kenya/London will also be considered.

• Competitive salary: up to 37-40K AED/month
• Fully remote for now, with a Dubai HQ opening April 2026
