The Opportunity:

We are seeking two highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Project Managers for a minimum of 18 months, to lead critical data transformation initiatives for a key client in Abu Dhabi. This is a hands-on, on-site role where you will be at the forefront of shaping our client's data strategy and infrastructure.

You will be directly responsible for the end-to-end management and successful delivery of two pivotal projects: a Data Lake/Operational Data Store (ODS) implementation and a Reference & Master Data Management (RMDM) implementation. This is a exceptional opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic environment to deliver tangible, high-impact results.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Project Leadership: Manage the entire project lifecycle for one of the initiatives, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and successful closure.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact, fostering strong relationships with key on-site stakeholders, managing expectations, and providing transparent, regular reporting on progress, risks, and milestones.
• Offshore Team Management: Lead, motivate, and coordinate offshore development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
• Governance & Delivery: Liaise with our PMO Lead to maintain robust project governance frameworks, ensuring strict adherence to scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards.
• Expedition & Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, remove blockers, and expedite processes to maintain project momentum and drive continuous progress.
• Strategic Coordination: Develop and manage detailed project plans, dependencies, and resource allocation to ensure seamless integration of both data projects.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, with a demonstrable background managing large-scale, data-focused projects (e.g., Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, MDM, Data Migration, Business Intelligence).
• Project Management Expertise: Proficiency with formal methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Confluence).
• Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data governance, and modern data platform implementation.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to matrix-manage cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Driver of Outcomes: A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to own a project and drive it forward amidst ambiguity and complexity.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

• Industry Background: Previous experience within a management consultancy or digital transformation firm.
• Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both English and Arabic.
• Regional Experience: Current UAE residency status and familiarity with the local business landscape.
• Certification: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile PM, CDMP).
