Network Architect

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect with deep technical expertise in designing and delivering complex connectivity solutions. This role involves developing scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures that align with business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and integration of network designs.

The successful candidate will be confident in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical strategies. A strong foundation in enterprise networking technologies is essential, along with a commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and delivering reliable, scalable solutions.

Job Duties

• Work with other parts of the organization that can assist with network design and development
• Drive technical excellence and innovation across network design and implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales to develop products, roadmaps, and to ensure delivery aligns with business goals.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Designs and develop network service offerings by identifying market needs, leveraging emerging technologies, and aligning solutions with business objectives to support scalable and repeatable delivery models
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Partner with sales teams to understand client needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Present and articulate network designs and value propositions to customers, both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure proposed solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with customer expectations.
• Collaborate with account teams to shape solution strategies that align with customer business objectives and technical requirements
• Support sales enablement by contributing to technical presentations, demos, and customer briefings

Requirements

• Some travel may be required to company facilities across Canada and the US or customer sites
• Ability to multi-task, pivot quickly and understand “sense of urgency"

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering & architecture
• Knowledge of business and technology processes.
• Proven track record of escalation management experience.
• Excellent Critical Thinking and Emotional Intelligence skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at different levels – including peers, ELT and C-level.
• Experience with network technologies such as SASE products, SD-Wan, Zero trust enablers.
• Technologies required:
• Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba, Palo Alto, MS Azure, Z-scaler
• Firewall/security tools.
• Understanding of public cloud hosting services as they relate to networking.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• University degree or College diploma program in Computer Science, Business and Technology, Information Systems or related areas.
