Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure in AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, Route53, RDS, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2 Image Builder).
- Serve as a technical leader, mentoring junior team members, guiding DevOps best practices, and driving continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (Debian, Ubuntu) to ensure stability and performance.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Support networking configurations and monitoring using enterprise tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Icinga2, Zabbix).
- Manage and optimize relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, AWS Timestream, Carbon/Whisper/Graphite).
- Develop automation scripts and tooling in Bash, Python, and Go.
- Utilize development and management tools such as Atlassian (Bitbucket, Smart Commits), Postman, Lucid/Visio, and Git.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Development, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment and delivery of project milestones.
- Provide hands-on leadership for DevOps initiatives, fostering a culture of automation, transparency, and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Linux systems administration (Debian/Ubuntu).
- 4+ years of AWS cloud infrastructure experience (VPC, EC2, Route53, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, Image Builder).
- 2+ years of professional networking experience.
- Experience with monitoring tools: SolarWinds, Nagios, Icinga2, or Zabbix.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (DynamoDB, AWS Timestream, Graphite stack).
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Bash, Python, or Go.
- CI/CD pipeline implementation and administration experience.
- Kubernetes orchestration expertise.
- Experience with version control and git management (Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and lead technical direction.
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading DevOps initiatives in a team lead or senior engineer capacity.
- Splunk administration and monitoring.
- Containerization expertise with Docker.
- Web server platforms (Apache2, NGINX).
- Experience with Atlassian toolchain (administration & integrations).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- JavaScript frameworks exposure.
- Big Data visualization platforms.
