Network Administrator

Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Network Administrator to support and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. This role is focused on day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and support, with an emphasis on Cisco and Meraki technologies, network security, and user connectivity. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with a strong understanding of networking protocols and tools and join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Operations & Support
  • Monitor and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Respond to and resolve network-related incidents, outages, and performance issues.
  • Support for connectivity issues across LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi environments.
  • Configuration & Maintenance
  • Configure and update Cisco and Meraki devices, including firmware upgrades and patching.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation including IP address management, topology diagrams, and device inventories.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure optimal network performance and uptime.
  • Wireless & Remote Access
  • Deploy and troubleshoot Meraki wireless access points and ensure reliable coverage.
  • Support remote users with VPN connectivity and secure access to internal resources.
  • Optimize wireless configurations for performance and security.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Helpdesk, Systems, and Security teams to resolve network-related tickets.
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical users.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Meraki cloud-managed devices, and firewalls and APs.
  • Familiarity with Cisco ISE and DUO for identity and access management.

Tools & Troubleshooting:

  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools.
  • Ability to analyze packet captures and diagnose performance bottlenecks.
  • Basic scripting knowledge is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
  • Meraki certification or relevant vendor-specific training.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network administration or support.

Work Environment:

This role is based in a fast-paced, JIT production-oriented environment. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks, and responding quickly to network issues. Occasional travel or after-hours support may be required.
