AI Software Engineer (Generative AI) - Latin America

We are seeking a highly motivated AI Software Engineer to join a growing team focused on building advanced Generative AI solutions. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to design, implement, and deploy intelligent applications that leverage large language models, vector databases, and automation pipelines. You will contribute across the full AI development lifecycle—from research and prototyping to production deployment, monitoring, and scaling. Accountabilities

• Research, design, and develop production-grade Generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and vector databases
• Lead end-to-end AI development including data preparation, model fine-tuning, evaluation, optimization, containerization, and secure cloud deployment on platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Implement and maintain MLOps/LLMOps pipelines for automated testing, monitoring, and rollback
• Apply Responsible AI principles and compliance standards throughout solution development
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable designs, rapidly prototyping and iterating with stakeholders
• Contribute to innovation initiatives by identifying research opportunities, publishing insights, and advancing AI software development capabilities
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning, NLP, or Generative AI systems
• Expert-level Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals including data structures, testing, CI/CD, Git, and containerization
• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LangGraph, and vector databases like Pinecone, FAISS, or Azure AI Search
• Proven cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable)
• Familiarity with DevOps/Infrastructure as Code tools such as GitHub Actions, Terraform, Bicep, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Preferred: Experience with AI compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP) and contributions to research papers, open-source libraries, or AI communities
