About The Role
As a Semi-Senior Low-Code Engineer on our Operations team, you'll play a critical role in building the tools and systems that empower our customer support agents and ensure a world-class user experience. You are a builder and a problem-solver at heart, with a passion for designing and developing intuitive solutions that scale. Your mission is to create efficiency, reduce manual effort, and give our team the tools they need to delight our users. Additionally, this role will be responsible for automating processes and workflows to ensure compliance and a robust operational framework.You'll be our go-to expert for developing internal tools on platforms like Retool. This is more than just configuration—you'll use your JavaScript and SQL skills to create custom logic, dashboards, and workflows that directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You'll work autonomously with stakeholders to identify pain points and deliver solutions from start to finish. Responsibilities
- Build for Scale: Design and develop internal tools on Retool.
- Operational Excellence tools development: Create comprehensive monitoring and control systems that provide real-time visibility into operations and enable proactive issue resolution.
- Contribute to AI initiatives: Build and iterate tool for our in-house AI-powered assistant that serves as a trusted knowledge source for customer support agents, enhancing their ability to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
- Customer Excellence Platform: Own the development and continuous improvement of the primary tool that support agents use daily to assist users.
- Compliance and Automation: Identify and automate manual compliance processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency, working closely with key stakeholders to build robust, scalable solutions.
- Product-Minded Building: Work autonomously with operations stakeholders to identify pain points, propose solutions, and deliver seamless internal experiences without constant supervision.
- Rapid Prototyping: Leverage AI tools and low-code platforms to quickly iterate on solutions, from UI/UX design to functional implementation.
- Data-Driven Solutions: Write and optimize SQL queries (with AI assistance as needed) to create insightful dashboards and automated reporting systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior engineers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure tools integrate seamlessly with existing systems and workflows.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor tool usage and effectiveness, gathering feedback from support agents to iterate and enhance the user experience.
- Workflow Automation: Identify manual processes and create automated workflows low code tools like N8N to increase operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher is required.
- 2+ years of experience building applications or tools in a professional environment.
- Strong skills in JavaScript for writing custom code within low-code platforms.
- Experience with low-code/no-code platforms, with Retool experience strongly preferred.
- Product mindset with the ability to understand user needs and translate them into functional solutions.
- SQL knowledge sufficient to write basic queries, with willingness to tackle complex queries using AI assistance.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, scalable solutions.
- Effective coordination of AI tools for tasks including code generation, design creation, and query writing.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with low-code development best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to work with non-technical stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience building solutions for internal operations teams, ideally within the fintech space is a strong plus, though not a strict requirement.
- Equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered.
