At F-Secure, our mission is to safeguard digital lives. To achieve this, we’re looking for a Test Lead who will own and evolve our testing strategy across functional and non-functional areas, particularly Feature Testing, API Testing, Manual and Release Testing, and Performance Validation. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our security products not only work flawlessly but also scale, perform, and delight. You will work across cross-functional teams and help shape the quality culture in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment. You will be primarily contributing to F-Secure’s consumer cybersecurity products, trusted globally by millions. The solutions span mobile and desktop platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS) and involve innovative features like AI-powered protection and custom partner configurations.

As Test Lead you would be reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, and collaborate with developers and QA Engineers globally. While you would not have managerial responsibilities, you'll serve as a technical mentor and standard-setter, embedding end-to-end testing into our development process through influence rather than hierarchy. Working across time zones as a technical driver, you'll have significant growth opportunities; from becoming F-Secure's go-to quality expert to expanding into test architecture, solution consulting, or AI-in-testing leadership, while participating in organization-wide quality improvements and strategy setting. This role suits someone who thrives on independent ownership, cross-cultural collaboration, and shaping QA practices.

You can choose to work at our office in Helsinki or in Bengaluru. We work in a hybrid model: you can work from home most of the time, but we'd love to see you in the office now and then too (e.g. 1-2 days a week or bi-weekly).

What You Will Do In This Role

• Develop and own comprehensive test strategies across feature, API, regression, and performance testing (load, stress, and endurance), defining scope and priorities for each release cycle
• Lead manual test execution and coordinate release readiness, ensuring quality gates are met and deployment risks are minimized
• Collaborate with cross-functional development teams throughout the sprint lifecycle, participating in planning, reviews, and continuous improvement of QA practices
• Track and communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders, providing clear visibility into product quality and release confidence
• Drive test automation improvements and contribute to performance validation tools, working to increase efficiency and test coverage
• Expand expertise in cutting-edge testing practices including AI-based testing, CI/CD integrations, security testing, and scalability validation in complex environments
• Support F-Secure's strategic mission by delivering high-quality, performant security solutions and enabling faster, more robust releases for our strategic partners
• Work within a global team of passionate engineers committed to simplifying processes, continuous learning, and driving innovation in quality assurance

What are we looking for?

• Strong testing expertise and prior experience in both functional and performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner), with proven ability to identify edge cases and regression scenarios through manual testing
• Technical proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting
• Strategic planning skills with experience defining comprehensive test plans, strategies, and coverage models that align with product goals
• CI/CD integration knowledge with understanding of QA's role in continuous delivery pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Independent ownership mindset with ability to take full responsibility for test planning and execution while collaborating effectively across teams
• Strong communication skills to explain complex test results to developers and product stakeholders, with enthusiasm for knowledge sharing and continuous learning
• Solution-oriented approach with analytical thinking, excellent time management, and prioritization skills to simplify and improve testing processes
• Forward-thinking perspective with curiosity about applying AI and emerging technologies to enhance testing workflows and drive innovation
