Senior Software Engineer - Helsinki – Fintech

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using TypeScript and PostgreSQL
• Contribute to new product features while maintaining existing systems
• Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code
• Participate in infrastructure deployment and live service operations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business, legal, compliance, and operations teams
• Ensure high availability, security, and test automation across services
• Work with containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS (EKS)

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development experience, primarily backend
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Experience working with production systems in a product or SaaS environment
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• High standards for test coverage and code quality
• Agile mindset with a systematic approach to development
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

• Experience with crypto, blockchain, or web3 technologies
• Familiarity with frontend development (React)
• Background in system and acceptance test automation
