Senior Project Manager (Rail Transportation Systems)

The Resolute Group are working with an established European engineering and consulting firm with decades of experience, who is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Rail Transportation Systems.

The company operates internationally with a workforce of more than 1,000 specialists and is known for delivering innovative and future-ready solutions in infrastructure, engineering, and construction. By combining technical expertise with digital methods and agile project management, the firm supports complex projects and sets new standards for quality and efficiency.

Location: Stuttgart (and Karlsruhe)

Salary: Experience Dependent, ranging between €65,000 - €85,000

Day-to-day duties will vary but could include:

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary planning projects within rail transport systems.
• Manage project teams, providing both operational direction and technical leadership.
• Mentor and support the professional development of project managers.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of quality standards, processes, and risk management strategies.
• Act as a key contact point for clients, ensuring smooth communication and successful project delivery.
• Support business development activities, including identifying new markets, strengthening client portfolios, and contributing to acquisition and sales efforts.
• Drive innovation initiatives and encourage modern approaches within project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management within infrastructure or rail-related projects.
• Solid understanding of engineering standards, construction processes, and relevant regulatory/legal frameworks.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire teams.
• Confident in contract management and fee structures; knowledge of German frameworks (HOAI, VOB, BGB) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
