Company Description
COVA Green was founded by four co-founders who shared one bold question: Can we generate clean energy directly from the air itself? Driven by frustration with the limitations of traditional energy sources, we set out to create a compact device that converts humidity into electricity. After months of experimentation and iteration, we developed a working prototype. Today, COVA Green is building next-generation, sustainable energy systems powered by nature’s most abundant resource: air.
Role Description
We are looking for a Research Scientist to join our core team. In this role, you will be at the heart of developing and optimizing our humidity-to-electricity technology. Your daily work will include designing and executing experiments, analyzing materials performance, developing new prototypes, and collaborating with engineers and product designers. You will also prepare technical reports, propose improvements based on your findings, and keep our team up to date on the latest advancements in material science.
Qualifications
- Strong background in materials science, with expertise in hydrogels and polymers
- Solid understanding of experimental design, data analysis, and prototype development
- Experience in preparing detailed analytics and proposing improvements
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Advanced or ongoing degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field (PhD preferred, MSc considered with strong experience)
- Passion for sustainability and belief in building a cleaner future
