Responsibilities
- Design and implement the Snowy Forest sublevel layout in Unity using greyboxing techniques.
- Develop platforming flow and pacing, balancing exploration, challenge, and storytelling.
- Place key gameplay objects such as Lucid Points and memory fragments according to the script.
- Integrate cinematic camera transitions to enhance narrative moments and gameplay beats.
- Collaborate directly with the Creative Director to achieve the intended atmosphere and player experience.
- Deliver a polished, functional sublevel within the agreed one-week timeline.
Skills and Requirements
- Proven experience designing levels for 2.5D or side-scrolling games.
- Strong proficiency in Unity and familiarity with greyboxing workflows.
- Ability to translate scripts and narrative direction into interactive level design.
- Understanding of pacing, player guidance, and visual storytelling in level flow.
- Portfolio showcasing past work on atmospheric or narrative-driven titles.
- Familiarity with games such as Ori, Hollow Knight, or Little Nightmares is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work remotely with clear communication and adherence to deadlines.
- Availability for part-time contract work with potential future collaboration.
