About the role:

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer (Fortinet) to join our Infrastructure & Security team. In this role, you will provide specialized support during the Hypercare phase following the rollout of new firewall policies. You’ll ensure the stability, performance, and security of Fortinet systems, while collaborating closely with technical specialists and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Hypercare support following the rollout of new firewall policies.
• Monitor Fortinet firewall systems (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) for performance, stability, and compliance.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve firewall-related disruptions and malfunctions.
• Prioritize and promptly address incidents, ensuring agreed SLAs are met.
• Perform proactive analysis of system and log data to identify unexpected changes or issues.
• Readjust and fine-tune firewall policies based on business feedback.
• Collaborate with security, network, and project teams to enhance firewall support processes.

Requirements:

• Several years of hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall systems (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Strong understanding of firewall concepts such as Stateful Inspection, NAT, VPN, IPS, and Application Control.
• Good knowledge of network protocols and topologies is a plus.
• Experience with ITIL-based processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
• Proven track record in Hypercare support and incident management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in critical support phases.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
