Work tasks:

As a JavaScript Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing front-end and/or back-end solutions using JavaScript technologies. You will work independently and with our team to create high-quality, scalable, and efficient code with close collaboration to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (such as React, React-Native or NextJS) for front-end development.
• Create server-side applications using Node.js and/or other JavaScript-based frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.

Requirements:

• Proficient in JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., such as React, React-Native or NextJS).
• Familiarity with server-side technologies such as Node.js.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Formal education in the field. Such as: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) or yrkeshögskola.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL databases).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine).
• Familiarity with AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS, SQS/SNS).
• Familiarity with Terraform to handle infrastructure changes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
