Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend solutions using Java (8 or higher), ensuring code quality, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Apply software design patterns to create robust, maintainable code and ensure best practices.
  • Work with the Spring Framework and Spring Security, handling dependency injection, application security, and web services.
  • Design, implement, and document RESTful APIs to support application requirements.
  • Utilize Hibernate ORM for database interactions, with a focus on performance optimization.
  • Implement logging and monitoring practices using SLF4J and Log4J, maintaining visibility and stability of applications.
  • Collaborate on frontend integration using AngularJS, Angular, or React (TypeScript/JavaScript).
  • Manage and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar), including indexing, normalization, and performance insights.
  • Conduct unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock to ensure code reliability.
  • Use Maven for build management and dependency handling.
  • Utilize AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudWatch) to deploy, manage, and monitor applications in the cloud.


Requirements:

  • Java (8 or higher): Strong proficiency in Java development.
  • Design Patterns: Solid understanding of software design patterns and their practical application.
  • Spring Framework & Spring Security: Hands-on experience with dependency injection, security, and web services using the Spring ecosystem.
  • RESTful API Development: Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Hibernate ORM: Knowledgeable in ORM concepts and Hibernate, with experience in performance optimization.
  • Logging & Monitoring: Familiarity with SLF4J, Log4J, and best practices for application monitoring.
  • Frontend Frameworks: Proficiency with AngularJS, Angular, or React (using TypeScript or JavaScript).
  • Relational Databases (PostgreSQL or similar): Strong skills in SQL and database management, including experience in database optimization (indexing, normalization/denormalization, and performance insights).
  • Unit Testing: Proficient in unit testing using JUnit and Mockito, with familiarity in PowerMock.
  • Build Tools: Proficient in Maven for build management.
  • Cloud Experience (AWS): Commercial experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, ALB, RDS, CloudWatch, VPC, IAM, Fargate, and Secrets Manager.


Nice-to-Have:

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Proficiency in Docker, with a solid understanding of ECS and EKS.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • CI/CD for Cloud Environments: Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeBuild.
  • Microservices & Serverless Architectures: Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and AWS cloud services supporting SOA, such as Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
