As part of customer-related equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects, the Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing all project-related activities and resources, ensuring timely execution, financial performance, and compliance with contractual and quality requirements. While operating with a degree of autonomy, the Project Manager is guided by company policies and is expected to ensure results meet defined standards in terms of quality, volume, and timeliness.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned projects from handover/kick-off to closure, managing both technical and commercial aspects
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, standards, and internal processes
- Monitor and report key project performance indicators (KPIs) including sales, forecast accuracy, margin, on-time delivery, invoicing, and cash collection
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal departments; lead action plans and recovery initiatives when required
- Engage regularly with customers, partners, contractors, and consultants to align on project status and expectations
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities in a timely and proactive manner
- Track all third-party obligations including customer and consortium partner requirements
- Deliver project milestones on schedule to avoid or minimize exposure to liquidated damages
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the execution phase
- Supervise preparation and submission of customer documentation, including approval processes
- Maintain accurate project data in internal project execution tools
- Comply with company and local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) policies and demonstrate leadership in EHS practices
- Strong verbal and written English language skills
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, industrial engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, contract management, field operations or business development, preferably in the transformer or energy sector
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools
- Proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is a plus
- Experience in project management in the America region would be an advantage
- Strong leadership and ownership in managing end-to-end project lifecycles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders
- Solid organizational and time management abilities; capable of handling multiple priorities
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results under pressure
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive collaboration across teams
- Customer-oriented approach with a strong focus on quality and service excellence
- Experience in risk management, budgeting, and project planning
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (PMP certification is a plus)
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and maintain a proactive, solution-driven attitude
