Working with the Firmware team, the student will work closely with members of the team to improve our system integration testing platform. This is a full-time position for the duration of a work term.
This position is for someone in a computer science or engineering program to learn about working as part of a technical team. You will be exposed to embedded products, their design and testing methodologies.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
- Experience using C/C++ in an embedded environment
- Experience working with an embedded RTOS
- Experience writing low level drivers
- Object Oriented Design and Development experience
- Assist in the development and testing of firmware for various safety devices
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with hardware components
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards
- Debug existing firmware and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
- Document design processes, test cases, and results
- Support the team in researching new technologies and tools to enhance firmware capabilities
- Contribute to team meetings and provide updates on project progress
