Job Description

We are looking for a QA Lead to build and oversee our quality assurance processes, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our products. As the QA Lead, you will develop and implement testing strategies, manage automation frameworks, and lead a team of QA engineers to uphold the highest standards of software quality.

This role requires a strong mix of hands-on testing expertise and leadership skills, ensuring seamless collaboration with engineering, product, and DevOps teams. You will play a critical role in preventing defects, automating testing pipelines, and maintaining a smooth deployment process.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Strategy & Leadership

• Define and implement a QA strategy that aligns with business and technical objectives.
• Establish best practices for manual and automated testing, ensuring high test coverage.
• Lead and mentor QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate QA processes into the SDLC.

Testing & Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend, frontend, and APIs.
• Establish end-to-end, integration, and performance testing strategies.
• Ensure comprehensive unit, functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Optimize test execution pipelines for CI/CD workflows, enabling faster releases.

Defect Prevention & Risk Management

• Identify potential failure points and edge cases early in development.
• Implement test data management strategies to cover real-world scenarios.
• Work closely with DevOps and engineering to ensure reliable deployments and rollback plans.
• Monitor and analyze bug trends, test coverage, and release quality metrics.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Act as the quality advocate, educating teams on best testing practices.
• Define release criteria, ensuring products meet performance and security benchmarks.
• Continuously refine QA processes based on feedback, analytics, and industry trends.
• Stay updated with emerging testing tools and methodologies to improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, automation, and quality assurance.
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing QA teams or initiatives.
• Expertise in automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Mocha, or PyTest.
• Strong knowledge of API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI).
• Experience with performance and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, OWASP ZAP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and cloud-based testing environments.
• Understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Ability to write clear test plans, strategies, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, SaaS, or high-traffic platforms.
• Familiarity with NestJS, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and security testing (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Hands-on experience with mobile app testing (iOS/Android).
• Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or Certified Agile Tester.
