Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the look and feel for both the intranet and external website.
Apply best web design practices to ensure consistency, usability, and performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders using existing wireframes and templates to guide design decisions.
Select and adapt templates based on user experience principles and AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliance.
Analyze and incorporate current website analytics to inform design improvements and user flow optimization.
Lead the migration from the legacy SharePoint platform to a new, modern web platform, ensuring continuity, improved usability, and accessibility.
Work closely with IT and content owners to ensure a smooth transition and accurate content mapping.
Qualifications
Proven experience in web design, UX/UI, or digital communications.
Strong understanding of web standards, responsive design, and accessibility (AODA).
Experience with SharePoint and web platform migrations.
Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch) and CMS platforms.
Ability to interpret wireframes and translate them into functional, engaging designs.
Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to drive data-informed decisions.
