About the role:

We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer with a proven track record of excellent problem solving capabilities and a strong background in designing, testing, and refactoring legacy code. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with PHP and be adept at simplifying complex systems, ensuring high performance, and maintaining robust, clean, and efficient codebases.

Skills and qualifications (mandatory):

• Problem Solving: Tackle complex problems with innovative solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Design and Development: Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality PHP applications, ensuring robust, efficient, and clean code.
• Unit Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Legacy Code Refactoring: Analyze, refactor, and optimize legacy code to enhance performance, readability, and maintainability.
• Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and efficient problem-solving approaches.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for new features, code changes, and system architecture.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively implement improvements.

Skills and qualifications (preferred):

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in PHP development.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with innovative
• and efficient solutions.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in PHP, with a deep understanding of its frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
• Strong experience in designing and implementing unit tests.
• Expertise in refactoring legacy code and simplifying complex systems.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
