About the Company

Our client, voted by their employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to join their Information Technology team on-site in their office in Rancho Cordova, California.


About the Role

In a team-oriented environment, the Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the installation, administration, and maintenance of 7x24x365 enterprise-wide systems, providing network, server, hardware infrastructure, security, and end-user support.


Responsibilities

  • Mentor the Tiers 1 & 2 staff as required.
  • Manage and optimize computer, software and network systems to ensure high levels of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the supported business applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems quickly with patience while communicating with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Required Skills

  • Technical certifications such as Cisco CCNA, ITIL, and Microsoft and Azure Cloud certs are preferred but not required.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
  • Must maintain a valid California driver’s license.

Preferred Skills

  • Senior level working knowledge and experience in network infrastructure technology: (Cisco switches, VPN and firewalls).
  • Experience with Fortinet environments and equipment a plus.
  • Expert level knowledge in Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange/O365.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Virtualization technologies: Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with a Hyper converged environment desired.
  • Working knowledge and experience managing Windows 2019 environments in a Systems Administrator role.
  • SQL Server 2016+ experience a plus.
