We are seeking a consultant to join their digitization program as a Backend Developer who can also take on the role of a Tech Lead. As part of this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing system support to enhance the Customs Agency's work processes. You will have the opportunity to work with current technology, exciting tasks, and skilled team members, and will be involved in solution design and development. The successful candidate will work primarily in the Customs Agency's premises in Oslo, with a remote work arrangement established and agreed upon in the program.
Responsibilities
The teams work towards a value chain where the architecture is based on a common task-oriented user interface with microservices in the backend. The flow in the solutions is event-driven, and the technological platform includes Apache Kafka, Kotlin, Java with Spring Boot, React/Material UI, REST-based interfaces, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, OpenShift, Git (GitHub/Bitbucket), Jira, Confluence, Prometheus, Grafana, and an ELK-based logging platform.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test system support to improve the Customs Agency's work processes
- Work with one or more autonomous teams, following the Customs Agency's agile development methodology
- Deploy code to production daily and be responsible for following up and monitoring the solution in production
- Work closely with product owners and have opportunities to participate in solution design and development

Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in similar roles
- Proficiency in Apache Kafka, event-driven architecture, and microservices architecture on the Java platform
- Experience as a tech lead in a development/product team
- Strong knowledge of REST services, SQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL), and OpenShift
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, automated regression, and performance testing
- Experience in parallelization and/or performance-critical systems
- Proficiency in agile methodology and automation tools
- Solution-oriented and result-oriented
- Structured, accurate, and efficient work approach
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently and in a team
- Proactive, self-sufficient, and initiative-driven
