About the Function

The Domestic Hotels business at MakeMyTrip is a key line of business, offering travelers access to 70K+ hotels across India. With a focus on expanding high-quality supply, fostering strong partner relationships, and delivering distinctive experiences, this segment is central to the company’s vision of redefining travel.

At the heart of this business is the Hotel Supply Strategy team, the strategic and analytical powerhouse driving its goals. The team leads high-impact reporting, accelerates supply-side performance, and uncovers opportunities to scale. By collaborating closely across functions, the team manages overall strategy, supply drives, KRAs, effectiveness, and analytics requirements within the Hotels business.

About the Role

As part of the Hotel Supply Strategy team, this role will anchor the automation charter for the entire Hotels supply ecosystem. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in enabling supply growth by designing automation frameworks, unlocking data-driven insights, and driving the adoption of analytics tools across the business.

This position requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills to transform data into business outcomes, streamline reporting processes, and build scalable solutions that empower decision-making at every level.

What you'll be doing

• Driving strategic, cross-functional initiatives to improve key supply metrics and empower the supply team.
• Leading the rollout of Tableau across the supply organization, ensuring adoption and effective usage.
• Designing and managing the roadmap for dashboards and reports to track KRAs and KPIs for the supply team.
• Delivering actionable insights using advanced analytics and data visualization to enable data-driven decision-making and execution.
• Automating manual reporting workflows using Python, SQL, and data engineering best practices to ensure scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Leveraging tools and technologies such as Python, SQL, Tableau, GenAI, and data engineering workflows to strengthen analytical and automation capabilities.
• Collaborating with Category, Revenue, and Ingo (our hotel partner-facing extranet and app for managing listings, bookings, rates, and availability) teams to accelerate growth in room nights and GMV.
• Preparing impactful presentations and business reviews for leadership to support strategic discussions and decision-making.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with 7–10 years of experience focused on automation and analytics-driven initiatives.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Tableau, data engineering workflows, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proven track record of leading automation, driving analytics adoption, and enabling performance improvement at scale.
