Autumnal Partners are currently recruiting for a leading private markets investor with strategies spanning private equity, infrastructure, and private credit.
Their platform invests across the capital structure and risk spectrum, including syndicated debt, direct lending, and opportunistic strategies. The team has grown significantly in recent years and continues to expand its dedicated resources across investment, portfolio optimisation, finance, and operations.
They are now seeking an associate to be their first hire in a newly created Investment Valuations team for the credit strategy. This person will lead valuation of investments across private credit strategies and will play a key role in quarterly NAV processes, valuation analysis, and governance reporting. The role provides an opportunity to develop deep technical expertise in private credit valuations within a high-growth, institutional setting.
Key Responsibilities
Valuation Process Support
- Preparation of quarterly valuations of private credit investments (debt and equity), using methodologies such as discounted cash flow and market comparables.
- Gather and analyse financial, market, and performance data from portfolio companies.
- Support consistency in valuation approaches across the portfolio, ensuring compliance with IPEV and AIFMD guidelines.
- Collaborate with external valuation providers, fund administrators, and auditors by providing supporting materials and responding to queries.
Quarterly NAV & Reporting
- Contribute to the preparation of valuation committee materials and investor reporting packs.
- Draft clear documentation of valuation assumptions and rationale.
- Help manage the valuation calendar and coordinate inputs from deal teams, fund control, and external advisors.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure valuation work adheres to internal policies and controls.
- Assist with audit and regulatory requests relating to valuation methodology and process.
- Support improvements in transparency and documentation standards.
Technology & Process Development
- Maintain and improve valuation models, trackers, and reporting templates.
- Contribute to automation and process enhancements where possible.
Applicants should have 3–5 years’ experience in valuations and ideally have big 4 training. Experience in credit is a must.
