Description

The Middle Office and Options Trader assistant is a hybrid role. This unique position requires managing trade operations, ensuring compliance, performing risk management, and executing trading operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, particularly derivatives, and demonstrate expertise in both operational processes and active market trading.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cryptocurrency Trade Support:

• Confirm and validate trades, ensuring accurate booking and reconciliation.
• Predeal validation and margin sufficiency checks.
• Prepare risk and expiry reports.
• Create, update, and manage API keys for secure access to financial data and trading platforms, ensuring proper authorization and security protocols are in place.

2. Treasury and Liquidity Management:

• Manage cryptocurrency transfer to ensure sufficient liquidity for trading activities.
• Oversee the management of wallets, ensuring efficient access to digital assets.

3. P&L Management and Reporting:

• Reconcile profit and loss, ensuring accuracy and investigating discrepancies.
• Track the performance of the trading book and prepare detailed reports for management.

4. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports and ensure compliance with internal guidelines.

5. Process Improvement and Collaboration:

• Identify inefficiencies in middle office processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with IT, sales teams, other traders, and risk management to optimize operational workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial products, particularly options and derivatives.
• Proficiency in using cryptocurrency trading platforms, wallets, and blockchain technology.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in treasury management, risk management, and compliance, preferably within the cryptocurrency or financial services industry.
• Must have crypto knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
