At Nordic Semiconductor, we are looking for a (Senior) Digital IC Design Engineer with a passion for signal processing and innovation to join our short-range digital radio team.
In this role you will work together with the team developing hardware for wireless standards such as Bluetooth LE, IEEE 802.15.4, NFC and proprietary protocols. You will contribute to the architecture, specification and development of innovative solutions pushing the limits of performance, power efficiency, and reliability. We bring the newest Bluetooth LE features to life, often before the standard is even finalized. Key responsibilities
As a member of the short-range radio team in Nordic Semiconductor you will be responsible for developing, integrating and verifying a world-class radio and other peripherals. This includes responsibilities like:
- Design, implement, and verify digital hardware
- Run synthesis, quality checks such as Lint, CDC and LEC
- Contribute to the development of advanced signal processing algorithms and innovative solutions to push the boundaries of wireless communication technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the architecture and specifications for digital radio systems
- MSc in electronics engineering or equivalent or BSc with relevant industry experience
- Experience with SystemVerilog or other hardware description languages
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Understanding of short-range wireless communication protocols
- Knowledge in signal processing
- Experience with UVM or other structured verification frameworks
- Familiarity with low-power design techniques, scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, C)
- Experience with High Level Modeling (MATLAB / Python / C / SystemC)
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools and familiarity with prototyping and testing digital IC designs
