About The Role
As a Visual Designer, you’ll help shape the future of visual design at Careem. From building expressive UI systems to crafting delightful micro-interactions and motion, your work will uplift the everyday experience for millions across the region.
What you’ll do
- Design visually compelling interfaces and product surfaces across Careem’s app ecosystem.
- Contribute to the creation and evolution of Careem’s visual language—illustration styles, iconography, type systems, motion patterns.
- Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and brand teams to bring expressive design to life.
- Explore new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted visual design and automation.
- Create guidelines and documentation to ensure high-quality adoption across teams.
- Participate in visual QA, motion handoffs, and craft reviews.
- 3-5 years of experience in visual or motion design for digital products.
- A strong portfolio showcasing high-impact UI/UX visual design, brand systems, and motion thinking.
- Ability to balance design precision with speed and iterative problem solving.
- Passion for craft, storytelling, and finding delight in the details.
- Exposure to AI tools, or curiosity to learn and use them in day-to-day workflows.
