Plutonic is a technology focused mental health services company pioneering immersive therapy solutions. We are looking for a contract software engineer with full-stack experience. This part-time contractor position can lead to a full-time position. Please only apply if you have solid experience with the Unity Game Engine, networking tools like Photon Engine, and some general experience with AWS services. Familiarity with LLM integration for AI-powered agents is a plus.
Position Summary
The software engineer is responsible for helping with development and multi-user networking in the Unity game engine as well as some back-end and front-end integration of our teletherapy platform. Extensive programming knowledge of Unity is required.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with founder, development team and consultants to build and maintain a next gen teletherapy platform.
- Integrate internal and external applications using APIs, Plugins, SDKs, with experience working in AWS web services and Unity. i.e. EC2, Incognito, DynamoDB, Lambda.
- Work within Unity game engine to assist in user networking, creation and updating of scripts.
- Assist with other front-end integration needs across the platform.
- Help support the integration of AI-powered agents using LLMs (e.g., OpenAI) into Unity environments.
Location
Atlanta, Georgia United States. Open to remote but prefer a hybrid work model.
Qualifications
• Must have 1+ year of real world experience using AWS Web Services that include EC2, DynamoDB and Lambda services.
• 2+ years of Unity game engine programming knowledge.
• Required knowledge of multiplayer networking systems such as Photon Engine.
• Required knowledge of C#, Python and Javascript.
• Ability to work with database management systems.
• Ability to learn HIPAA compliance requirements for telemedicine systems.
• At least 2+ years of real work experience in software engineering.
Compensation is starting at part-time around $3,000-$4,000 per month starting at 3+ month duration.
