Company Description
Kentish Publishing Company is an independent, author-centred publishing house committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and producing culturally rich, intellectually rigorous, and emotionally resonant works. We support emerging and established authors from the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and diasporic communities. Our holistic and collaborative approach emphasises authorial voice, ethical storytelling, and structural integrity. Specialising in nonfiction, academic texts, memoirs, poetry, hybrid genres, and select fiction projects, we aim to challenge, inspire, and transform readers. At Kentish, publishing is a creative and sacred act that shapes cultural memory and sustains communities.
Kentish Publishing Company is looking for passionate Game Developer Interns to help bring a unique, author-focused game to life. Our talented game designers have already crafted the vision and design, and now it’s your turn to turn that vision into a fully functional, polished experience for mobile and online platforms.
As a Game Developer Intern, you’ll:
- Dive into existing game designs and documentation to understand the creators’ vision.
- Implement game mechanics, integrate assets, and optimise gameplay.
- Collaborate with mentors and team members to ensure the game meets high-quality standards.
- Contribute your technical expertise to enhance performance, functionality, and user experience.
This is an incredible opportunity to join a project already in motion, gain hands-on experience in game development, and build your portfolio while working remotely in a supportive, creative environment.
Who You Are:
- Proficient in Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, or similar game development tools.
- Experienced in coding with C#, C++, Python, or other relevant languages.
- Skilled at working from design documentation and integrating existing assets.
- A problem-solver, a team player, and eager to learn and contribute.
- Current undergraduate or recent graduate in Game Development, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
If you’re ready to take a creative vision and bring it to life, join us and help shape the future of immersive, meaningful games.
