Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for payment processing using Java, Spring, and Kafka.
• Drive modernization initiatives for our payments platform, focusing on reliability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless CI/CD deployment and release processes.
• Implement automated testing and foster a culture of code quality and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and contribute to architectural decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Backend Developerin payments or financial services.
• Strong hands-on skills in Java, Spring, Hibernate,RabbitMQ, Kafka and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with Kafka or alternative streaming/event-driven technologies.
• Comfortable working with Linux, VMware, OpenShift and public cloud (AWS preferred).
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Chef, Ansible).
• Practical understanding of caching technologies and observability best practices.

Desirable

• Prior experience in highly regulated or security-cleared environments.
• Agile/Scrum team experience.
• Strong communication skills, able to convey technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
