The Opportunity

A leading quant fund is seeking an experienced DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to join their high-impact team in the UAE. This is a senior-level position for engineers who have built infrastructure from the ground up - not just maintained systems, but architected, automated, and optimised them across environments.

You’ll play a key role in owning and evolving a mature, production-grade infrastructure that supports real-time systems at scale. This is not a siloed role - you’ll be hands-on across the full DevOps lifecycle, with influence over every layer from low-level networking to Kubernetes orchestration and CI/CD tooling.

What You’ll Do

• End-to-End Infrastructure Ownership: Design, build, and maintain infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. You'll be responsible for both project development and day-to-day management across the full stack.
• IAC Coding: Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure scalable, secure, and consistent cloud environments.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Architect, implement, and manage robust pipelines using tools like GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or equivalent.
• Kubernetes Orchestration: Deploy and manage production workloads on Kubernetes. Ensure scalability, performance, and resilience of containerised systems.
• Core Networking & Security: Take ownership of Layer 0 networking infrastructure and ensure secure networking practices and permissions across the platform.
• Observability & Monitoring: Build alerting and monitoring systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and others to maintain operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
• Demonstrated experience building infrastructure from scratch within finance/trading firms
• Strong proficiency in Terraform, CI/CD systems and pipeline automation (any stack: GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals and experience managing core networking components
• Sound understanding of infrastructure security practices, from role-based access control to secure networking and permissions
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or others)
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• A builder's mindset - proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of owning infrastructure projects from idea to deployment
