In our Operations department in Geneva, we are currently looking for a motivated engineer to join our team of specialists. Are you interested in developing control concepts and software for new charging solutions in the field of e-Mobility, such as eBus charging and large eV depots/terminals? Then this job is for you!
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead the development and lifecycle management of object-oriented software for embedded systems, including onsite installations and lab testing
- Design and implement customized software solutions for eMobility projects, ensuring integration with backend systems and digital functionalities like fleet monitoring and smart charging
- Troubleshoot embedded devices, analyze data, and report findings to relevant stakeholders
- Write and execute technical specifications and test procedures for internal and external partners
- Coordinate engineering activities across multiple projects, ensuring complete multidisciplinary input and timely delivery
- Provide technical support during testing, installation, commissioning, and warranty phases
- Ensure cost-effective, high-quality engineering solutions that meet safety standards and contractual obligations
- Collaborate with customers, contractors, and supply chain partners while managing scope, budget, and schedules
- Master's degree in engineering
- Min. 2 years relevant Working experience
- Proficient in object-oriented programming (Python and/or JavaScript), with experience in backend development including API integration, databases, and cloud solutions
- Familiar with embedded systems (Linux OS), version control tools (Azure DevOps, Git), and optionally frontend frameworks like Angular or React
- Knowledge of e-mobility standards such as OCPP (preferred), IEC 61851, ISO15118, DIN 70121, VDV 463/261, SAE J3105
- Experience with Docker/Docker-Compose in production environments and understanding of communication protocols (WebSocket, MQTT, ModbusTCP)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French preferred; German considered a plus
- Strong grasp of engineering disciplines and project management, capable of managing complex projects independently
- Skilled in coaching and reviewing work of junior professionals
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and engaging with internal and external stakeholders
