Information Technology Project Manager

Project Horizon is a strategic greenfield initiative for one of AGAP2’s key clients, focused on the design, construction, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art, highly automated manufacturing and logistics hub at the Rheinmünster Chemical Park in Germany. The site is designed to be energy-neutral, fully electrified, leveraging photovoltaics, and developed with a strong commitment to sustainability, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.

Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Project Manager to lead all IT-related activities throughout the entire project lifecycle – from design and construction to commissioning and operationalization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that IT infrastructure, systems, and processes are seamlessly integrated and aligned with corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary IT contact within the project steering team.
• Lead and coordinate IT workstreams including network, infrastructure, systems, security, integration, and applications.
• Define and implement IT infrastructure: LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, server rooms, cabling, and communication systems.
• Ensure seamless integration between enterprise systems (SAP S4/HANA, WMS EWM, SupCis L/8) and shop floor technology (AGVs, conveyors).
• Select and manage IT vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, cybersecurity frameworks (GDPR, NIS2, ISA IEC62443), and quality standards.
• Identify IT-related risks, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare for a smooth transition to operations, including documentation and support structures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT project management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of industrial IT, factory automation, and enterprise IT systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English and German (Italian is a plus).
• Willingness to travel and be on-site during key project phases
• The workplace will be located in Greffern, Germany.
