Head Of Digital Architecture

We are supporting a leading global investment bank in their search for a Head of Digital Architecture. This is a senior leadership role, accountable for defining the strategic direction, architecture, and transformation of digital engineering services across a complex, international environment.

Location: London (4–5 days in the office)

Salary: £130,000 – £150,000 base + 20% bonus

Role Requirements:

Lead the digital engineering strategy for a major global financial institution, shaping roadmaps across infrastructure, service management, and digital platforms. Influence C-suite stakeholders, drive adoption of emerging technologies, and deliver a future-ready technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver the strategy and technical architecture for digital engineering services.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of strategy leads and architects.
• Represent digital engineering at enterprise architecture forums, ensuring governance and best practice.
• Identify and embed emerging technologies including cloud, data, AI and digital workplace solutions.

Ideal Experience:

• 10+ years’ experience in senior technology strategy and architecture roles within global organisations.
• Strong background in infrastructure, service management, and IT operations.
• Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and IT strategy.
• Broad technical understanding across cloud, networks, platforms, data, and AI (including GenAI).
