My client is an established design and manufacturing company with a culture of collaboration, innovation and customer focus. A global business recognised as a market leader in its field that’s looking for experienced, hands-on Product Designers to design physical products for high volume manufacturing.

The Role

As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing new and existing products. Key responsibilities include:

• designing physical products for high volume manufacturing

• generating appealing concepts and developing these into functional, reliable, cost-effective products within time constraints

• as part of the Product team, handling all aspects of the design process from concept through to liaising with factories

• some international travel to manufacturers may be required

Skills and experience

An enthusiastic, hardworking and results-focused Designer, you will have

• 3+ years of experience and proven ability designing physical products

• Degree in a relevant field such as: Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering

• ability to manage your own work as well as working effectively within a team

• ability to express ideas effectively and use various media appropriately, i.e. illustration, physical models, written and verbal communication

• Expertise with 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks)
