Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with 5+ years of professional experience to join our client in the banking industry. You will be part of a dynamic data team working on advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions. The role involves leveraging PySpark, Python, Databricks, and Generative AI to develop innovative models and insights that support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data science solutions for complex business problems in the banking domain.
• Work with large datasets using PySpark, Python, and Databricks to perform advanced analytics and modeling.
• Develop and implement machine learning and Gen AI solutions that can be applied across financial services use cases.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate requirements into actionable insights.
• Deploy models into production and ensure they are reliable, explainable, and add measurable value.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI/ML and apply them to enhance processes and solutions.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, NLP, or LLMs is a strong plus.
• Solid background in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Willing to be based in the Netherlands (visa sponsorship provided if needed).
