Job Opportunity
CoinDesk is looking for a proactive News Reporter with deep knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3 industries. The role involves breaking news, producing in-depth features, and providing market insights. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a leading publication at the forefront of the digital asset space.
Responsibilities
This position requires 2-3 days per week onsite at local offices in London, Lisbon, or Frankfurt. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK/EU.

Responsibilities
- Generate and pitch original story ideas within the crypto economy (e.g., DeFi, regulation, NFTs, venture capital).
- Monitor markets, on-chain data, and social media for breaking news developments.
- Conduct interviews with industry players (founders, developers, investors, regulators).
- Write clear and compelling news articles, features, and analysis pieces.
- Work with editors and reporters for comprehensive coverage and collaboration.
- Maintain understanding of macroeconomic trends and their potential market impact.
- Contribute to multimedia content like podcasts, videos, and live events.
- Proven experience as a reporter or journalist, preferably with a focus on finance or technology.
- In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and the digital asset space.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Strong communication skills (English required).
- Strong research, analytical, and source-building abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with online content management and social media platforms.
- Experience with AI-powered tools for research and analysis is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
