About The Role
CoinDesk is seeking an experienced Markets Reporter to cover cryptocurrency and digital asset markets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other major tokens. The reporter will provide real-time updates, in-depth analysis, and insights on market trends, price movements, and industry developments.
Responsibilities
- Report on breaking news and developments in the crypto market.
- Write daily market updates, features, and analysis explaining market dynamics.
- Monitor on-chain data, social media, regulatory filings, and news outlets for emerging trends.
- Build and maintain a strong network of sources for exclusive reporting.
- Analyze market data, trading volumes, and investor sentiment.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure high-quality reporting.
- Contribute to newsletters, podcasts, and video content.
- 3+ years of experience in financial journalism with a focus on market reporting.
- Strong passion and expertise in cryptocurrency and blockchain.
- Experience with traditional financial markets is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools for content generation and analysis.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and develop sources for impactful stories.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Finance, Economics, or related field is a plus.
- This position requires occasional onsite work (2-3 days/week) in London, Lisbon, or Frankfurt.
