Position- AWS Engineer

Location- Amsterdam, Netherlands

Responsibilities:

• Rapidly familiarize yourself with an ongoing project and its architecture.
• Independently design, develop, and deploy new features using AWS serverless technologies.
• Define and implement schemas and data models for DynamoDB.
• Set up and maintain fully automated deployments for development environments.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth promotion to higher environments.
• Build and integrate APIs with API Gateway and implement event-driven patterns using EventBridge and Kinesis.
• Collaborate using GitLab, maintaining CI/CD pipeline.
• Write robust automated tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.
• Contribute to a highly scalable, consumer-facing system capable of handling high throughput.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS Lambda, DynamoDB (schema design), API Gateway, EventBridge, CloudFront, Kinesis, and multi-region deployments.
• Proven experience building serverless architectures.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and AWS CDK.
• Solid understanding of OAuth authentication flows.
• Strong Git skills, with experience in GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Track record of writing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Experience developing and deploying high-throughput, consumer-facing applications.
• Ability to work independently, ramp up quickly, and deliver high-quality features under tight deadlines.
