In 2006 Arm acquired Falanx, a small Norwegian start-up developing Graphics Processing Units. The team now counts 200 employees from more than 30 nationalities. We are based in Trondheim, the beautiful technology capital of Norway. Here the team is combining hiking, skiing, and trips on the fjord with developing Mali, the world's most shipped GPU in the world.
This position sits within the PPA (Power, Performance, Area) team which acts as a sophisticated internal user of our products. We measure and analyse performance and energy efficiency to help push our technology to its full potential.

What You Could Be Doing As a Graduate
You will work with a vast array of areas such as:
- Developing software for analysis and trace tools
- Creating graphics microbenchmarks
- Enhancing tools and methods for GPU content handling, performance data, and PPA analysis
- Writing scripts for data measurements and visualisation
- Measuring and analysing GPU workload performance and feature usage, and sharing insights within the organisation
- Hold (or are on track to hold) a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related field by the programme start date. This can be a Bachelors, Masters or PhD.
- Knowledge of standard Linux tools, shell and version control systems such as Git
- Strong interest in graphics processors and digital systems, with excellent attention to detail
- Passion for desktop or mobile gaming, and awareness of current trends in the industry
- Familiarity with open-source software and tools
- Proficiency in C++
- Experience with at least one additional programming language
- Curiosity about technology beyond the classroom – personal projects, hackathons, or internships etc
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new tools and systems
