About the role:
The Senior Program Manager Risk will oversee and manage CP&C’s Risk Management process. This includes developing risk management plans, identifying and analyzing project risks, and reporting on these risks across the division. The role is essential for safeguarding project outcomes, ensuring that objectives are met, and maintaining the company's reputation for delivering exceptional results through effective risk tracking and mitigation strategies.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and evaluate potential risks at all stages of project development, from initiation to completion.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and forecast the potential impact of identified risks on project deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Implement robust risk identification techniques and tools to ensure all potential risks are identified and documented.
Risk Mitigation Planning:
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans, in collaboration with project managers and relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze and prioritize risks based on their potential impact and likelihood of occurrence.
- Establish proactive measures and contingency plans to minimize the adverse effects of identified risks.
Risk Monitoring and Reporting:
- Continuously monitor project activities and evaluate risk exposure to identify emerging risks promptly.
- Generate timely and accurate risk reports for senior management and project stakeholders, highlighting key risk trends, mitigation progress, and overall risk posture.
Risk Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in risk management.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure projects adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a trusted advisor to project teams and senior management on risk-related matters.
- Facilitate risk workshops and training sessions to enhance risk awareness and build risk management competencies within the organization.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for enhancing risk management processes and methodologies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practices and lessons learned across projects.
Top competencies required:
- Strong project management skills
- Expertise in risk identification, mitigation, and management
- Ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders
Required Education, Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in risk management
- Minimum 8 years working in project risk management
- Strong understanding of ISO 31000 Risk Management
- Good knowledge and experience of management and leadership principals required to direct and lead risk management with a multi-skilled project team in a complex airport environment
