Full-timeResearch, Analyst +1

Rentelligent is a company that creates smart solutions for the rental market. We operate Husleie.no and Husleiestrøm in Norway, and SmartMiete in Germany. We provide services for landlords and tenants. We work within fintech, proptech, and legal-tech – but most of all, we strive to create good rental relationships and make everyday life a little easier and safer for both landlords and tenants. Our company is growing, and we want more talented people to join our team.

The rental market is the largest payment market in the world where transactions happen directly between consumers. Our goal is to be the very best at delivering great solutions to both parties in a tenancy. We collect rent, provide tenants with flexibility, and landlords with security. We run a marketplace, collaborate with banks and insurance companies, and have recently established our own electricity company.

About the Role

We are looking for an analytical and business-oriented Business Analyst to step in as our current team member moves on. This is a highly central role in the organization, working closely with Product, Marketing, and Finance. You will serve as the link between data, strategy, and operations – delivering insights that drive the company forward.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Take ownership of monthly and weekly reporting and conduct deep-dives on performance issues.
  • Highlight the most pressing performance and data concerns to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze and monitor key metrics across marketing (digital campaigns, conversion rates, A/B testing), product (user behavior, feature performance), business (sales data, third-party reporting), and finance (budgeting, forecasting, decision support).
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau, as well as deliver ad hoc analyses in Excel.
  • Serve as the owner of Husleieindeksen – our quarterly pulse on the Norwegian rental market.
  • Ensure smooth data exchange between systems such as Customer.io and Lime
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Product, and Engineering to optimize customer journeys, ensure relevant data is captured, and support new initiatives with insights and A/B testing.
  • Work closely with Finance to create a seamless bridge between financial and non-financial metrics, ensuring consistent and actionable reporting.
  • Support both strategic decision-making at CxO/board level and detailed, hands-on analytical work.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in an analytics or data-related role, ideally in a digital company or tech start-up.
  • Higher education in economics, technology, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Understanding of SQL.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, Power BI (or similar reporting tools).
  • Solid understanding of business performance and metric development across functions.
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly and concisely to management and board audiences.
  • Experience with statistical modeling and A/B testing is a plus.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to connect data to business impact.

Personal Attributes

  • Structured, self-driven and analytical, yet pragmatic and solution-oriented.
  • Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills – you know how to make data tell a compelling story.

What We Offer

  • A key role in a growth company with strong ambitions.
  • The opportunity to influence both strategy and day-to-day operations through data-driven insights.
  • An informal and engaged work environment with short decision-making processes.
