THE JOB

The Program & Project Manager is responsible for managing complex cross-departmental initiatives and inter-dependent projects that help realize business goals. Using established project methodologies, in waterfall, agile, and hybrid environments, the Program & Project Manager is part of a team of project professionals who support and lead project management at MHS across all disciplines and departments


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and maintain necessary project artifacts for cross-departmental initiatives. Collaborates with stakeholders from across the organization to set goals, build plans, and manage successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate status meetings and the Scrum process to ensure appropriate governance and effective resource management.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure completion of tasks in accordance with established timelines and quality metrics.
  • Track key decisions, progress to plan, budget, and resource balancing.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues, including mitigation and contingency planning, escalating as appropriate.
  • Ensure appropriate approvals throughout the project lifecycle, including formal change requests, and communicate appropriately with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the maturity of project management methodology through the creation and maintenance of project artifacts, lessons learned, training, and lessons learning/retrospectives.
  • Coach Project Coordinators and early career Project Managers and share experiences and best practices.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Five years of project management experience with a focus on planning, monitoring, and control.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including group facilitation, at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated customer focus, active listening, conflict resolution and analytical problem-solving skills with a consultative approach.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships, including resolving conflict, to build strong teams.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.



Skill Sets:

  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 software applications including Project, Planner, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams.
  • Must have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. A candidate who is presently earning their PMP certification will be considered.
  • Scrum Master certification, or working towards, desired.
