Metrics Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Lead for a new EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain that is being built to deliver ultra-low latency, app-specific ordering, high throughput, and built-in privacy. You will define how this L1 establishes its position in the market. You’ll be responsible for shaping narrative and competitive positioning, building playbooks that convert early traction into sustainable growth, and driving adoption through ecosystem partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive partnerships with validators, infrastructure providers, wallets, explorers, and bridges to ensure reliable network operations.
- Build relationships with DeFi protocols, stablecoins, oracles, developer tools, dApps, and on/off ramps to grow the ecosystem.
- Translate the chain’s differentiators (latency, ordering, privacy, throughput) into compelling partner value propositions.
- Launch grassroots adoption initiatives through hackathons, workshops, and direct developer engagement.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to align roadmap with partner needs.
- Represent the project at high-impact industry events and conferences.
Requirements
- 5+ years in business development, partnerships, GTM, or sales, with at least 3 years in crypto (ideally L1/L2).
- Experience selling technical infrastructure to protocol teams, wallets, or developer communities.
- Strong crypto network with the ability to open doors from day one.
- Demonstrated success in taking early-stage products to market and driving adoption.
- Vancouver-based hybrid role, with ~20–30% travel for ecosystem and partner engagement.
