BI Scientist

As a BI Scientist, you will support the creation and delivery of business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. You will use BI and visualization tools (such as Tableau) and apply advanced analytic techniques including AI, GenAI, data science to develop dashboards and reports that present clear, actionable insights to business users. Working with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, you will help ensure the quality and relevance of analytics deliverables while building your skills through collaboration and continuous improvement in the analytics team.

Responsibilities

Advanced Analytics & Solution Development

• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools, transforming business data into approachable, actionable insight.
• Embed advanced data analytics techniques (e.g., statistical analysis, predictive modeling, segmentation, text analytics/NLP, and Gen AI-driven solutions) to support business use cases.
• Support requirements gathering with business stakeholders to ensure BI solutions address defined objectives.
• Assist with data validation, quality checks, and ongoing dashboard enhancements based on user feedback.
  
  
  

Collaboration & Team Support

• Work within cross-functional project teams, contributing to analytics delivery under the guidance of senior team members.
• Participate in agile workflows, managing assigned tasks and priorities to meet project milestones.
• Share updates, document key findings, and contribute constructively to team discussions and solution reviews.
  
  
  

Learning & Process Enhancement

• Stay up to date with BI tool capabilities and analytic methods, proactively seeking opportunities to increase technical proficiency.
• Document BI dashboards, methodologies, and processes according to team standards.
• Participate in internal learning opportunities, knowledge shares, and code reviews to support continuous improvement.

• Ensure BI deliverables maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy, and security.
• Collect and respond to user feedback, helping iterate and improve solutions to maximize business value.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Technology or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the domain of data analytics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience with BI/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) with ability to develop interactive dashboards and reports.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python or PySpark.
• Good understanding of data modelling, data architecture, and data governance concepts.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google.
• Familiarity with agile project management tools, i.e. Jira & Confluence.
